What do you enjoy most about the financial services industry?
I enjoy seeing the process from start to finish. With financial guidance, you can truly see the difference it makes for clients’ everyday lives and the confidence they gain from it.
What are the biggest challenges?
Planning and correspondence. Things will always happen that are out of our control where meetings need to be canceled – sometimes meetings are pushed out due to everyone’s busy schedules and availability.
What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?
Obtaining a position where there’s so much room for growth within the company and growth on a personal level. I learn something new every day, and that can only make me a better individual inside and outside of Roell Capital Management.
What quality of yours makes you best suited for what you do?
I work well with others and love creating strong relationships with coworkers and clients. In addition, my organizational skills and creativity helps with various marketing projects, event planning, and everyday client correspondence.
How should people think about their wealth?
Everything is an investment. Invest your wealth into anything beneficial and always remember to think long-term.
What do you love to do outside of work?
I am a huge fan of nature—I love going hiking and taking photos. This is a fun hobby that I share with my son along with camping, park trips, and play time with family and friends.
What’s the most influential book you’ve read?
The most influential book I’ve read is George Orwell’s 1984. It’s a reminder on how important individualism is, and to never become a prisoner to fear for there is enough power within ourselves to defeat the obstacles we face.
What would you be doing if you didn’t work in the financial industry?
I would be pursuing a career in diet and nutrition. Having the power to help people overcome a situation by being their guide and having a positive impact on their lives is my main objective.
