What do you enjoy most about financial services?

There are so many things, it is hard to narrow it down. Working with clients to prioritize their goals, seeing couples openly communicate about their finances (sometimes for the first time!), and the comfort they receive knowing they have a financial professional to help them.

What are the biggest challenges?

Ensuring we are current on relevant topics, and technology, helping clients understand what good financial information is and what we would consider non-relevant, financial “noise”.

What professional accomplishments are you most proud of?

Earning my CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification.

What quality of yours makes you best suited to do what you do?

The ability to listen and understand what clients are truly saying.

How should people think about their wealth?

It should be used to enhance life in a very real way and not as a number on a spreadsheet.

What do you love to do outside of work?

Spend time with my wife and our four children along with a few Brewers games and golf if time permits.

What’s the most influential book you’ve read?

Outliers by Malcolm Gladwell. A great read for anyone and not a “business” book.

What would you be doing if you weren’t a financial planner?

I likely would have followed my father into the accounting profession.
